The Miami Baptist Association, partnering with the North American Mission Board that has a division, Serve Tour Operations, sponsored the event, Men's Work Day. This was a two-day event spanning February 6 and 7, 2026. This event was led by Bro. Mark Calendar. Early Friday, items were collected from Iglesia Estrella de Belen in Hialeah. Those include wheelbarrows, rakes, paints, rollers, drop cloths, brushes and more for the project. Breakfast was provided by Bro. Peter Puddie. Friday's work included clearing most of the northernmost grounds of the church where there are more brushes and trees. We cleared old items from Building 4 that are no longer needed and packed them into the provided dumpster. Lunch started about 1:30 and at that point we counted eleven men present. The next day, Saturday, at Iglesia Estrella de Belen in Hialeah, we met five visitors from South Carolina working with the mission. That day we had the Women's Missionary Union at Parkway assisting with the event as well. Together, work started painting five rooms while another group assembled new school furniture. As the day progressed, we had more help with the painting allowing us to complete the five rooms. There were enough hands to help complete the furniture assembly as well. Lunch was provided by Bro. Bentley Francis and the visitors were delighted by the delicious meal. With all the work completed, the items were returned to the hub and the visitors helped us close the day off and they will also return to South Carolina. It truly was a wonderful weekend of work. Thanks to all who supported, sincerely from the Parkway Men's Ministry.
